Recipe finalisation and seed planting. Once the final recipe is decided we prepare the land and plant the seeds for the vegetables, the apples are from the orchards, the blackberries are from permanent, well established hedgerows that are harvested seasonally. All our vegetables, fruits and herbs are hand picked.
We source all the ingredients from the farm, all within a few miles. The home grown produce is carefully selected and hand picked. The same human grade produce goes into supermarkets for human consumption. The vegetables and fruit are all hand picked, then quality checked, only selecting the best to be used.
We prepare our meat, vegetables and fruit in the kitchen on the farm, by hand. At Ouzil we have a special cooking method to keep every ingredient nutrient-rich. We cook all the meat and the vegetables individually and once all are cooked mix them together. This way, each meal is full of vital nutrients, and your dog can feel & smell the texture of each ingredient. We do regular taste tests ourselves, as well as several renowned fussy pets. We use veterinary and nutritionists advice every step of the way, combining this with safety tests so we are always producing high standards.
We cook our meals to order, they are then posted out fresh in recyclable packaging. You can be assured your about to receive the most sustainable and lowest carbon foot print any pet meal can have. Our meals are all quality checked before posting. Ouzil meals arrive chilled and ready to pop into your fridge or freezer.
